VANCOUVER — The big question following the incredible performance of Tyler Nylander on Saturday in the Subway Bowl B.C. Double A championship on Saturday at B.C. Place was: How many yards did he wind up rushing for?

The part everyone who follow the game knows well now: The Carson Graham Eagles quarterback rushed for seven touchdowns in his team’s 53-34 win over the Abbotsford Panthers.

No one knows for certain, but it is believed to be an all-time Subway Bowl senior varsity record for touchdowns in a game by one player.

So, again, how many yards did he rush for?

Official stats released Sunday afternoon had Nylander, last year a receiver on the team, carrying 26 times for 368 yards.

WJ Mouat’s Maleek Irons holds the all-time single-game record of 491 yards but that was during the regular season. If the 368 yards gained by Nylander isn’t the best ever in the post season, it has to be among the handful of most impressive performance in the history of BC high school playoff football.

He also passed 8-of-14 for 66 yards and one interception. On defence he had two tackles and one interception.

Teammate Flynn Heyes carried 28 times for 194 yards and one TD.
